In 2003, ''The Guardian'' started the film production company GuardianFilms, headed by journalist Maggie O'Kane. GuardianFilms has received several broadcasting awards. In addition to two Amnesty International Media Awards in 2004 and 2005, ''The Baghdad Blogger: Salam Pax'' won a Royal Television Society Award in 2005.
