The Crimean Karaites are a community of ethnic Turkic adherents of Karaite Judaism in Eastern Europe. Originally centered in Crimea, Karaim were established in Lithuania and elsewhere in Europe from late medieval times.
De Karaïm vormen een zeer kleine etnische minderheid in Litouwen die bestaat uit de nazaten van Tartaarse Karaïeten die in de 14e eeuw door Vytautas de Grote van de Krim naar zijn rijk werden gehaald. Hun culturele centrum is Trakai, de toenmalige Litouwse hoofdstad.
