Ehigie  completed a Bachelor of Arts in French Education at the [[University of Benin, Nigeria]] in [[Benin City]], Nigeria. He holds a Master of Arts in French Literature with Distinction from the [[University of Benin, Nigeria]] and in [[Africa]]n and Francophone Postcolonial Studies from the [[University of Birmingham]] in the [[United Kingdom]]. His thesis focused on the role of Africa in the works of [[J. M. G. Le Clézio]]. Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in French Language and Literature with a minor in Linguistics at the [[State University of New York at Buffalo|University at Buffalo]], USA, and one in Christian Psychology at [[Dynamic Theological Seminary]], Nigeria.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;{{cite web&lt;br /&gt;
