Do not fill this in! ====Portugal==== In [[Portugal]], the "Dia da MΓ£e" ("Mother's Day") is an unofficial holiday held each year on the first Sunday of May (sometimes coinciding with [[May Day#Portugal|Labour Day]]). In the weeks leading up to this Sunday, school children spend a few hours a day preparing a gift for their mothers, aided by their school teachers. In general, mothers receive gifts from their family members and this day is meant to be celebrated with the whole family. It used to be celebrated on 8 December, the same date as the Conception of the Virgin celebration.{{citation needed|date=March 2016}} Summary: Please note that all contributions to Christianpedia may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors.
