On 1 October, villagers in Kirchinga, Adamawa complained of a lack of security personnel after 5 residents had their throats slit during an unchallenged early morning attack. Maina Ularamu, a former Chairman of [[Madagali]] Local Government Area, stated: "A large number of gunmen invaded the village, forcing residents to flee to a nearby bush.
