In May 2022, the city celebrated the expansion of its [[Cycling infrastructure|bike lane network]] to {{convert|104|mi}}, a 60 percent increase from 2015. Of those miles, {{convert|24|mi}} were [[protected bike lane]]s. D.C. is part of the regional [[Capital Bikeshare]] program.
