Film and television has been in Springfield since the 1950s. Several films, such as ''[[The Winning Team]]'' (1952) starring [[Doris Day]], [[Frank Lovejoy]] and future [[President of the United States|U.S. President]] [[Ronald Reagan]], held their premieres in Springfield at the [[Gillioz Theatre]] downtown.
