According to traditional [[Wicca]]n beliefs, every member of the religion is considered a priestess or priest, as it is believed that no person can stand between another and the divine. However, in response to the growing number of Wiccan temples and [[Wiccan church|churches]], several denominations of the religion have begun to develop a core group of ordained priestesses and priests serving a larger laity.
