Dobson and [[Charles Colson]] were two participants in a 2000 conference at the [[Holy See|Vatican]] on the global economy's impact on families.{{Citation needed|date=July 2018}} During the conference, the two [[Protestant]]s met with [[Pope John Paul II]].
