===Spending church funds in casinos===
In Moon and Han's teachings, [[Las Vegas]] was described as a "city of Satan," and they aimed to amass believers to transform that hell into heaven. However, in 2022, reports from [[Shukan Bunshun]] and [[TBS News]] revealed that, according to transaction records compiled between 2008 and 2011 by [[MGM Resorts International]], Hak Ja Han and 11 church executives lost approximately $6.52 million in Las Vegas casinos. A senior believer claims that the funds squandered in the casino were donations from Japanese believers. Internal church records specify that donations, totaling $9.51 million between 2009 and 2011, were intended for Las Vegas. A former Japanese chief of the church who participated in the church's Las Vegas tour testified that the church specifically instructed participants to carry $7,500 in cash as a donation, which was below the upper limit for customs declaration.
