Formerly, two-year bachelor's degrees were awarded as BA BSc and B.Com., which were renamed as associate degrees (ADA, ADS) in 2018β19 by HEC Pakistan. Generally these programs are of four year's duration as elsewhere in the world and begin after completing higher secondary school education by receiving a Higher Secondary School Certificate (acknowledging one's twelve years of study by the respective board). After successful completion of these programs, a bachelor's degree is awarded by the respective university. Engineering and medical colleges provide four- and five-year degree programs, respectively, for bachelor's degrees (BE/BS/BSc Engg and MBBS) that also begin after higher secondary school year 12. The Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree program is of five years' duration. Summary: Please note that all contributions to Christianpedia may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors.
