Do not fill this in! ==== World War II ==== Having acquired the [[Howard Shipyards]] in 1925, the [[United States Navy|U.S. Navy]] awarded the Jeffersonville Boat & Machine Company (later known as [[Jeffboat]]) a contract to build boats during [[World War II]]. Jeffboat built landing vessels such as the [[Landing Ship, Tank|LST]], and swelled in number of employees from 200 to 13,000 people.
