Nigeria has five cities with a population of over a million (from largest to smallest): [[Lagos]], [[Kano (city)|Kano]], [[Ibadan]], [[Benin City]] and [[Port Harcourt]]. The south of the country in particular is characterised by very strong urbanisation and a relatively large number of cities.
