Bono and Ali also own residences in the south of France and New York. In the late 1980s or early 1990s,{{when|date=June 2022}} Bono bought a top-floor duplex apartment in Manhattan's [[The San Remo|San Remo]] apartment building from [[Steve Jobs]] for $15&nbsp;million.
