The [[Scientology]] view is that a person does not have a soul, it is a soul. Scientologists view that one's future happiness and immortality, as guided by their spirituality, is influenced by how they live and act during their time on earth.<ref name=":0" /> Scientology's term for the soul is "[[thetan]]", derived from the Greek word "theta", symbolizing thought. Scientology counselling (called [[Auditing (Scientology)|auditing]]) addresses the soul to improve abilities, both worldly and spiritual. The ideologies surrounding this understanding align with those of the five major world religions.<ref name=":0" />
