The cosmological description of the universe in the [[Gnosticism|Gnostic]] codex [[On the Origin of the World]] presents [[Seven Heavens|seven heavens]] created by the lesser god or [[Demiurge#Gnosticism|Demiurge]] called Yaldabaoth, which are individually ruled over by one of his [[Archon (Gnosticism)|Archons]]. Above these realms is the eighth heaven, where the benevolent, [[Aeon (Gnosticism)|higher divinities]] dwell. During the [[Eschatology|end of days]], the seven heavens of the Archons will collapse on each other.
