The [[United States Census Bureau|U.S. Census Bureau]] defines the sphere of the city's influence as the Tulsa [[Metropolitan Statistical Area|metropolitan statistical area]] (MSA), spanning seven counties: Tulsa, [[Rogers County, Oklahoma|Rogers]], Osage, Wagoner, [[Okmulgee County, Oklahoma|Okmulgee]], [[Pawnee County, Oklahoma|Pawnee]], and [[Creek County, Oklahoma|Creek]].
