Midland is represented in the US Senate by [[John Cornyn]] and [[Ted Cruz]] and in the US House of Representatives by [[August Pfluger]]. Midland residents are represented in the [[Texas Senate]] by Republican [[Kevin Sparks]], District 31. Midland has been represented in the [[Texas House of Representatives]] by Republican [[Tom Craddick]], the former [[Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives|Speaker]] from District 82, since 1969.
