In 2017, he received the National Achievement Award by the [[Africa-America Institute]]’s on behalf of the people of Ghana. Nana Akufo-Addo was honoured at the fourth Ghana Hotels Association Awards, held on 20 January 2020, for demonstrating visionary leadership by declaring the year of return and ensuring its successful execution.<ref name="gbcghanaonline.com"/>
