In early 2009, Perry threatened legal action against Mo' Money Taxes, a tax preparation company based in [[Memphis, Tennessee]], for running a [[Television advertisement|TV spot]] that he felt offensively [[parody|parodied]] his work, in particular ''Madea Goes to Jail''.
