In 1994, London-based Associated Press Television (APTV) was founded to provide agency news material to television broadcasters.<ref name="Reuters">{{Cite news|url=https://www.nytimes.com/1998/06/03/business/ap-buys-worldwide-television-news.html|title=A.P. The agency also provides five simultaneous live video channels, AP Direct via satellite for broadcasters, and four live channels on AP Live Choice for digital publishers.
