The [[LaRouche movement]] is a political and cultural network promoting the late [[Lyndon LaRouche]] and [[Views of Lyndon LaRouche and the LaRouche movement|his ideas]]. It has included many organizations and companies around the world, which campaign, gather information and publish books and periodicals. The movement originated within the radical leftist student politics of the 1960s. In the 1970s and 1980s hundreds of candidates ran in state [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democratic]] primaries in the United States on the 'LaRouche platform', while Lyndon LaRouche repeatedly campaigned for [[Lyndon LaRouche U.S. presidential campaigns|presidential nomination]].
